concept: In partnership with Point Loma Nazarene University Office of Sustainability, our Portfolio Review class was challenged to create educational animations for the Creation Care Week Campaign. This campaign was brought forth to raise awareness for global warming and that a change must be put into action; Our animations were posted on Instagram by the Office of Sustainability during Creation Care Week. The class was assigned one body copy of text from thegiganticchange.org which then was divided among all students to use for our individual animations.
My goal was to incorporate a friendly, cheerful tone into a rather dispiriting topic. This tone was brought forth in my use of bright pinks, oranges, blues, and playful illustrations. The significance and urgency of the cause was expressed through my use of energetic animations implemented in Adobe After Effects to accommodate the body copy text.
